about the storm
Built on a commitment to developing strong student athletes, confident leaders, and supportive teammates.
Our program focuses on skill development, competitive growth, and creating an environment where players are challenged to improve while enjoying the game.
We believe success is more than wins and losses. Through consistent training, teamwork, and a focus on fundamentals, athletes gain the confidence, discipline, and resilience needed to compete at a high level. Players are encouraged to take ownership of their development, support one another, and represent themselves, Chanhassen High School and our program with integrity.
Whether athletes are new to the sport or continuing to grow their skills, STORM Volleyball provides a structured, positive environment where players have the opportunity to develop, contribute, and succeed.

We lead with respect and integrity. We build trust on and off the court. We have the courage to communicate, even when it's hard. We choose unity over ego, and connection over convenience. We are teammates, classmates, and leaders. We play for something bigger than ourselves.
Purpose

Identity
Legacy
Every serve, pass, and rep has meaning. We know who we are and why we play. We show up with intention and pride for ourschool, for each other, and for the players who came before us. We honor our legacy by how we carry ourselves. Are you playing with purpose or just going through the motions?

Toughness
We out-hustle. We go all out. We put in the work no one sees. We fight for every point, push through limits, and give everything we've got. Toughness isn't just physical – it's mental. We don't quit when it gets hard. We dig deeper. Are you chasing down every ball like it matters? Because it does.
Growth
Mindset
Progress
Coachability
We don't fear mistakes–we learn from them. We are coachable, adaptable, and resilient. We value feedback, progress, and small victories. We show up every day ready to improve – for ourselves and for our team. We live the standard – on and off the court. Are you dedicated to your own growth and the growth of your team?
Leadership
Lindsay Anderson
Lindsay was a three-sport athlete in high school, competing in volleyball, basketball, and track. She earned All-Conference, All-State, and All-Tournament Team honors at the MSHSL State Volleyball Tournament in both 1999 and 2000 and was a two-time MSHSL State Track participant. Following her high school career, Lindsay continued playing volleyball at St. Cloud State University. She was a team captain and led the team to the national tournament in her senior season.
Inspired by her legendary high school coach, Susan Alstrom, Lindsay began coaching club volleyball while still in high school. She later accepted her first high school head coaching position at Cathedral High School, where they qualified for four consecutive state tournament appearances. Since then, Lindsay has coached at both the collegiate and high school levels. She has made six appearances at the Minnesota State Volleyball Tournament, is a three-time Section Coach of the Year, and has twice been selected as an All-Star Coach. Now returning for another season with the Chanhassen Storm Volleyball program, Lindsay brings with her a deep passion for developing student-athletes and creating meaningful growth opportunities, both on and off the court.
Coaching Philosophy
Our mission is to enrich the lives of our players, using volleyball as a platform to grow as individuals and use learning experiences to develop life skills that will carry with you beyond your time at Chanhassen H.S.
While winning is the goal, it is not the only thing that matters. When your playing days are done, above all, be remembered for being a great person and a great teammate.
